ABOUT US

The Journal of Bahria University Medical and Dental College abbreviated as JBUMDC is a peer reviewed quarterly, multidisciplinary biomedical journal of Basic and Clinical Health Sciences. It accepts manuscripts prepared in accordance with the Uniform Requirements for Submission of Manuscripts for Biomedical Journals, updated December 2015, adopted by International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), online available at URL: www.icmje.org.

The aim of the Journal Bahria University Medical and Dental College is to innovate medical teaching with research and writing and to promote the science and art of medicine for the improvement of public health.

The core objectives of Journal Bahria University Medical and Dental College are to:

  1. Publish original, important, well-documented, peer-reviewed clinical and laboratory articles on a diverse range of medical topics.
  2. Provide physicians with continuing education in basic and clinical science to support informed clinical decisions.
  3. Enable physicians to remain informed in multiple areas of medicine, including developments in fields other than their own.
  4. Improve public health internationally by elevating the quality of medical care, disease prevention, and research provided by an informed readership.
  5. Foster responsible and balanced debate on controversial issues that affect medicine and health care.
  6. Predict important issues and trends in medicine and health care.
  7. Inform readers about non-clinical aspects of medicine and public health, including the political, philosophic, ethical, legal, environmental, economic, historical and cultural etc.
  8. Display social responsibility to improve wellbeing of individuals and integrity of science.
  9. Achieve the highest level of ethical medical journalism.
  10. Produce publications that are timely, credible, and enjoyable to read.
